Cornation Street

1961
At the beginning of the entrance of Coronation Street the screening was black and white. The houses was packed and Notheren and look of them showed that people was in poverty. The surroundings looked dull  and misty. The place isn't cared about and not well maintained. You can tell by the area that people are not happy and have no way out.
The first scene of the soap had wobbley movements of the camera which showed that in them days they didnt have enough money for good camera equpitment. They had an ensomble shot with a group of people talking over each other. The first convention on the shot was a bar in a pub. There is then a shot of two ladys arguing. There is no close ups to show their faces of their experession or of importance. There is a low angle of the little lady who is intimidating the other lady. There is then a shot being composed as a wide estabalishing shot to show the support of the lady.

1979
At the beginning of the entrace of Cornation Street the screening has a bit of colour but its dull and not fully coloured. The houses still looked tight packed and looks the same as the rest. The shot looked like it was never ending. The palce looked ruined and run down. The cat showes lonliness and has a boring atmosphere. The tiles of the houses look girm. The grey sky looks like there is no hope and no escape.
The first scene was silence for a long time and a slow trecking shot. It looks more like a movie and realistic. Looking in the house showed that the person who owned it is poor and old. The silence of the scene builds tention and intrest. The man we first see shows us that he isnt suppose to be where he is due to the silence he is giving, he is wearing a big black coat and tall which shows he is going to bring trouble. The little man we next see shows his innocence as he is old and looks unwealthy. The pictures frames he has around the house immidentaly moves us to his side.
